KLAS Front-End Speech 2014 Report: Dolbey Speech Recognition Ranks #1 for Implementation, Functionality and Service

Providers rated Dolbey’s Fusion Speech® above other speech recognition vendors’ solutions

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dolbey’s Fusion SpeechEMR front-end speech recognition received the highest overall rating by healthcare providers, according to a new KLAS report on speech recognition titled Front-End Speech Recognition 2014: Functionality Doesn’t Trump Physician Resistance.

“We continue to see an increasing need for a strong partnership between Dolbey, the hospital/clinic and the physician. Support from our team and the institution is critical to the physician to insure the continued use and benefit of speech recognition.”

Dolbey’s FES solution received the highest marks in all categories including Sales & Contracting, Implementation & Training, Functionality & Upgrades and Service/Support. Other areas where Dolbey is recognized for outperforming competing speech recognition vendors include:

  • Part of Long-Term Plans: 100% of providers say that Dolbey solutions are part of their long term plans
  • Would Buy Again: 100% of providers say they would purchase Dolbey speech product again
  • Overall Communication: Many customers say Dolbey really listens to their needs, as one provider expressed:

Customer Service was the reason we went with Dolbey. Dolbey is much more receptive and pays better attention to customer needs than our previous vendor. People have suggested reporting tools and templating tools, and both were put in packs and sent out by Dolbey. This vendor is much more receptive of customer input.”

Dolbey providers emphasized that the lower initial investment and the reduction in transcription costs were also contributing factors to selecting Dolbey as their speech recognition vendor. According to the KLAS report, “Dolbey Fusion SpeechEMR performed highest for improving documentation time, and providers also saw great reductions in transcription costs when using Fusion SpeechEMR with their EMR tools.”

Bob Leslie, Senior Vice President at Dolbey and Company, states, “We continue to see an increasing need for a strong partnership between Dolbey, the hospital/clinic and the physician. Support from our team and the institution is critical to the physician to insure the continued use and benefit of speech recognition.”
