Dolbey to Integrate its Fusion Expert Solution with Technology from Mammography Reporting System

Cincinnati, OH, May, 2010  Dolbey, a leader in providing dictation, transcription, speech recognition and coding solutions for healthcare, has teamed up with Mammography Reporting System, Inc. (MRS) for integration of its mammography tracking and reporting data system with the company’s Fusion Expert® solution.

Fusion Expert, powered by Nuance’s SpeechMagic™ offers complete front-end speech recognition and results management and is part of Dolbey’s Fusion Suite™ of enterprise-wide products. Through the integration with MRS, radiologists use Fusion Expert to dictate and the recognized text automatically populates the MRS Reporting segments, eliminating the need for any manual entry by the radiologist and speeding up the reporting process.

“This integration will further Fusion’s ability to provide prompt, accurate medical documents for the demanding patient care environment,” explained Bob Leslie, Senior VP/GM for Dolbey. “We’re excited to merge our technology with a system that offers radiologists multiple ways to enter exam reports, from traditional transcription to entering the information directly into the system.”

“We are extremely pleased to have worked with Dolbey on this project. Our integration with Fusion Expert will be important to simplify the workflow in MRS for all of our customers who utilize Fusion’s advanced technology,” said Mark Morris, CEO of MRS. “Our goal is to have a seamless workflow for radiologists who enter their exam findings in a paperless environment.”

Fusion Suite is a fully integrated, enterprise-wide set of products specifically designed to alleviate today’s healthcare IT headaches. It includes innovative software and hardware for dictation, transcription, speech recognition and computer-assisted coding.
